Drama as Ugandan billionaire's over 30 secret children at his funeral leaves people in shock [photos]

Some men though!!!. A Ugandan billionaire educationist and founder of St Lawrence schools, Prof Lawrence Mukiibi was laid to rest on Friday, June 1st in his ancestral home at Katenden. He died at the age of 71.

However, one small event left mourners and Ugandans in shock...the number of his children, whom he had outside wedlock as he had no official wife.

Those in attendance counted over 30 children of the deceased, some of them as young as few months. Reports claims that he fathered more than 80 kids from his students.

FG reacts to calls by Northern youths for Igbos to vacate the region on or before Oct. 1st

The Federal government has reacted to the threat made by some Northern Youths on Igbos who reside in the region. The youths had at a meeting in Kaduna state on Tuesday, asked Igbos to relocate from the region on or before October 1st or they would have their properties taken from them. 

In a statement released Wednesday evening, the minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said the Federal government would deal decisively with anyone found making inciting comments. The government assured Nigerians of their safety in any part of the country. Read the full statement below..

Why Igbos Cannot Leave The North - Ohanaeze Youths

The youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council on Wednesday said that Igbo cannot leave the North after spending over N44trn to develop the region.

The group also instructed the Igbo living in the North to prepare to defend themselves against possible attack by Northerners.

The Ohanaeze youth wing was reacting to the three-month ultimatum given to Igbo to leave the Northern parts of the country by October 1, 2017 over the agitation for Biafra in the South-East.

There was drama at Nakuru’s Tanners area on Tuesday, after a 55-year-old man was found stuck while having sex with his sister-in-law at a hotel in the town.

The man had left his home in Kisii supposedly on a trip to Mombasa to purchase a family car, after selling a piece of land, only to end up in a Nakuru love nest with his sister-in-law who is a student. .
After enjoying a night of steamy sex, things suddenly turned traumatic for the two lovebirds when they attempted to disengage. Cries from the distressed sister-in-law prompted attendants at the facility to break the door of the hotel room open.

Nigerian Army arrests two impostors in Delta [photos]

The Nigerian Army says troops of 3 Battalion Nigerian Army operating in parts of Delta State earlier today arrested two impostors. A statement released by the Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, says the arrested impostors namely Emejo Benedict and Onwusuluke Kelechi, were dressed in military camouflage uniform while extorting money from commercial tricycle (KEKE NAPEP) drivers and molesting their fellow civilians along Nnebisi Road, Asaba, Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State.


The suspects have since been handed over to Nigerian Police in Asaba.

A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in an uncompleted building by Winners road in Benin city, Edo state yesterday. Facebook user, Arnold Efeoghene, who found the baby, shared some photos of the child online and wrote:

"Some people are really wicked. I found dis baby in an uncompleted building dis morning, by winners road, sapele road, benin city. But tank God she is alive and she has been taking care of".

Delta State Police nabs man with human parts stored in jerry cans and concealed in bags of garri

A 45-year old man suspected to be a ritualist and member of a kidnapping gang was arrested with human body parts in Delta State. 

The suspect, Feix Nnalu Chibogwu, was arrested last Sunday at about 10:30 am in Abavo with human body parts stored in kegs in which he poured a preservative fluid. The kegs were then concealed in two bags of garri.

Spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command said the suspect is a member of a syndicate operating in Amai, adding that the ritualist was arrested while attempting to flee to Lagos.

CAN Releases Statement Over Ejection of Igbos

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in the 19 Northern States and Abuja, has condemned the recent eviction order issued by a group of Northern youths to the Igbos to leave the north within three months.

In a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, CAN said it was shocked to read “some shortsighted and ignorant group from our region, calling on Igbos to leave the North before October. Such call is evil and a threat to national security and unity.”

“Leaders of this group and their sponsors should be arrested and prosecuted immediately.

Man Stabs Wife To Death Over N2, 000 Feeding Allowance

The Kogi state police command have arrested one 30-year-old man, identified as Garuba, for stabbing his wife to death over N2, 000 feeding money.
According to the Sun, Garuba who is a commercial driver from Ihima in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, was paraded alongside other criminals in the state.

Garuba told journalists that his wife of 15 years, Falilat, picked up a quarrel with him over his inability to cater for the family.

FAAN Bans Luggage Screening At Lagos Airport Departure Hall

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria says checking of travellers luggage will no longer be done at the departure hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The Managing Director, FAAN, Mr. Saleh Dunoma, said this was part of the plan to ensure the implementation of the Executive Order recently issued by the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo.

“The Executive Order does not give room for pre-checks on luggage. All checks should be done in designated areas. Luggage should not be checked at the departure hall,” he said.

Pandemonium as Boko Haram Attack Maiduguri

There was pandemonium in Maiduguri, Borno state capital on Wednesday as suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the town.

Loud bangs and explosions were heard causing civilians to flee for their lives, Reuters reports.

Soldiers and police have been deployed and are moving towards the area of Maiduguri where the suspected Boko Haram fighters attacked to combat them, witnesses say.

The federal government has however urged residents not to panic.

The nineteen governors in northern Nigeria have disowned the coalition of groups who issued a 3-month ultimatum to all Igbos in the area to leave or face the consequence.

INEC Announces Registration of 5 New Political Parties

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the registration of 5 new political parties in Nigeria.

INEC's spokesperson, Adedeji Soyebi, in a statement issued on Wednesday said that the registration of the new parties brought the total number of political parties in Nigeria to 45.
