The Edo State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has arrested two suspects over uncovered illegal refineries in Obazagbon Community, Ikpoba-Okha Local government area of Edo state.
Briefing newmen in Benin City, the state commandant NSCDC, Makinde Isikil Ayinla reassured the public of its resolve to put a stop to all forms of oil bunkery by vandals in the state.
Ayinla said the activities of oil thief in the country affect the country’s economies pointing out that this necessitated the move by the corps to go after those who indulge in vandalism of oil pipelines, oil theft and illegal refineries in the state.
He said the command in the month of June destroyed several illegal refineries in the state and arrested two suspects while a J5 Bus and a saloon car loaded with illegal oil product.
The two suspects’ denied involvement in the alleged crime
