Canadian investors partners Benin kingdom on agro-allied development

A group of Canadian investors have indicated interest to partner with the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II to help develop an agro-allied industry which would create wealth, generate employment and reduce poverty in the kingdom.

The head of the Canadian group, and member of Canadian Parliament Hon Ramesh Sangha disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Oba of Benin yesterday.

Sangha said they were in Benin Kingdom to foster and promote global collaboration, especially in the areas of agriculture, Education, Youth unemployment, Health, Science and Technology and creation of wealth to reduce poverty.

Hon. Sangha expressed hope that the collaboration would bring mutual
benefit to the people of Benin Kingdom and Canada.

Addressing the Canadian group, the Benin Monarch expressed gratitude
to them for showing interest in Benin Kingdom, and for their willingness to also invest in Education, Science, and technology.

His Royal Majesty assured the visiting Canadian group of the support of the palace in ensuring that the initiative and collaborative effort is actualized, more so that Canada is renowned for its potentials in agro-allied industries.

Oba Ewuare II also expressed readiness to tap from the Canadian group loan facility in order to be able to achieve success in agro-allied investment.

The Benin Monarch promised to continue to act as a stabilizing force
for the people, and ensure that the people uphold integrity and uprightness in all their dealings.
