Edo North to host Oba Ewuare II in grandeur

The People of Edo North Senatorial District will on Saturday play host to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II as part of his post coronation visit.

There are frantic efforts by traditional leaders and people of the six local government areas in Edo North to host the paramount ruler of the Benin kingdom.

A statement issued by the Head of Publicity Committee for the visit, Alhaji Usman Abudah explained that the Palace of the Otaru of Auchi will be the point of gathering for all and sundry.

Alhaji Abudah added that traditional dance troupes and masquerades from communities in Etsako West, East and Central, Owan East and West and Akoko-Edo will grace the occasion.

It would be recalled that, Oba Ewuare had recently made a tour to Edo South Senatorial District where he disclosed plans to develop mechanism of addressing societal and communal issues to achieve everlasting peace that would lift the economic and cultural fortune of this country.Also, The monarch had stressed that his determination to ensure a virile economic and cultural growth of the kingdom and Edo state, could be achieved easily when sellers of various ethics groups in state abide by the law of the land.
