" Be a Man and Criticize Buhari" Sen. Ita Enang tells Gov. Udom Emmanuel

   

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, has  asked Akwa Ibom Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel  to be bold in is critique against the federal government and also blamed the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for surrendering Akwa Ibom to Zenith Bank.

”Governor Udom Emmanuel should come out bold in his critique against the federal government, “be  man enough to air your views at the National Executive council not when you are in the state you start blaming the Federal Government” he said.

According to Enang, the secret handing of the state over to Zenith Bank has been responsible for the present governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, not being able to account for the federal allocations that accrue to the state as he has been placed in the state as mere receiver for the bank.

”I respect Gov Udom Emmanuel as Governor, but the way he’s going, I don’t think people should have confidence in his government . Udom was brought to manage the damage done by ex-administration of Akpabio. He is in government to pay the huge debts of previous government”

Speaking on a private radio station, Plant 101.1 FM, on Saturday in Uyo, Enang added that it was for this reason that the bank also placed Accountant-General and the Commissioner for Finance with a view to subjecting Akwa Ibom people to perpetual enslavement.

Enang, however, appealed to Akwa Ibom people to rise up, adding that if the trend should continue, the people should not blame the Federal Government for their plights. He noted that the FG has taken active measures to ensure the development of every state in the country.

Akwa Ibom people should cooperate with the Federal Government to make Nigeria great again. 2017 will be a better year for us all

“Zenith Bank has given us the governor, they gave us the accountant-general and now they have given us the commissioner for finance.

Something is clearly wrong and Akwa Ibom people should rise up against this.

“After this interview, I’m aware that so many contracts will be awarded to people to come and abuse me, the All Progressive Congress and the Federal Government without responding to the issues I’ve raised.

“In Akwa Ibom State, there is some level of productivity but it is not commensurate with the funds received from the Federal Government.

 Akwa Ibom people should rise and ask questions; why are all the finances that come to the state channeled to Zenith Bank,” he asked.
