A Federal Polytechnic Rector, reported to have died during s ex rump with a teenage girl in Delta State, has debunked reports of his death

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe, Bayelsa State, Mr. Seiyaboh Idah, has said he is not dead contrary to reports on the social media and some online newspapers.

The report, which also appeared on the website of a popular national daily claimed that the rector died at a hotel in Ughelli, Delta State, while allegedly having sex with an undisclosed lady.


But Idah, who expressed serious concern over the report, described it as embarrassing. He described the the report as careless, irresponsible, unprofessional and contrary to a minimum standard of journalism anywhere in the world.


Idah said there was nothing true about the report, noting that it was totally against his “character, moral rectitude, ideals and qualities.”

The rector stated, “I was highly embarrassed by the report. The school, the students, my family including my parents, were all embarrassed and assaulted by the falsehood.

“My friends all over the country and the world have been calling me over this incident to confirm whether l was still alive. You can see that l am alive and kicking.”

The rector said he had already briefed his lawyers, demanding that they take legal action against the online newspapers.
