THENJIWE used to get a call from the father of her two-year old child every evening after 8pm.
Then she would take the call, leave her parents’ home and go to meet the man before returning home later. But last Monday, Thenjiwe Fesi (21) from Kagiso, Mogale City, Gauteng didn’t come back. Instead her body was found the following day in an open piece of land not far from the house. According to cops, she was strangled and her body was half- naked.

Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said her boyfriend, a different man, has been arrested for her murder. He will appear in court soon.
Family member Innocent Mashego said Thenjiwe used to leave her cellphone at home but that night, she took it with her and it has not been found.
“It makes it difficult for us to try and find out who called her. We could have seen the last call she received. When we call the number the phone is off,” he said.
