Report reaching my desk says the former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, is among the list of ministers-designate sent by President Muhammadu Buhari to the President of the Nigerian senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
According to the report, President Buhari, who is still attending the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly in the United States, handed over the list to Sen. Ita Enang, his Special Adviser on national assembly Matters(Senate) on Monday.
It is expected that Enang will meet with Saraki on Tuesday when the senate is expected to resume plenary after a two-week break. A reliable source said Monday night that screening of the ministerial-nominees would most likely commence on Wednesday .Amaechi is on Buhari’s delegation to the US.
