Senate finally recalls Senator Ali Ndume, asked him to resume on November 15th

Nigeria’s Senate former Majority Leader, Ali Ndume, who was placed him on six months suspension after he asked the Senate to investigate allegations of corruption leveled against Senate President Bukola Saraki and Dino Melaye in the media sometime in March this year, has been recalled back to the red chamber.
The Nigerian Senator who represents Borno South in the chambers but suspended following the recommendation of the ethics and privileges committee of the Senate headed by Chris Anyanwu, was recalled back this morning in a plenary session presided over by Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Ndume’s suspension elapsed in September, however the Senate issued a statement extending the suspension to November, on the excuse of discounting holidays and weekends. Senator Ndume, however then filed a lawsuit against the Senate before a Federal High Court in Abuja. Last week, the court nullified the extension of his suspension and asked that he be recalled. He was asked to resume work in the chambers tomorrow, November 15th.
