Rivers APC Slates Rivers PDP Call for Amaechi’s Arrest, Says It Is a Call from a Demented Group, Senseless, Unwarranted and Should Be Disregarded
Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC)'s attention has been drawn to the unwarranted and malicious call by the Rivers PDP Chairman, Felix Obuah for the arrest of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the erstwhile Governor of Rivers State and the incumbent Minister of Transportation over the phantom assassination attack on Governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike of Rivers State.
Rivers State APC in her reaction through Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the SSA Media and Public Affairs Consultant to the APC Rivers State Chairman, Dr Ibiamu Davies Ikanya stated that this call is not only misleading, misguided, senseless, fallacious, immoral, callous, malicious, vindictive but unwarranted seeing that the call emanates from a demented mind that needs our immediate help particularly from that of a Psychiatrist.
“It beats our imagination and ridiculous to some extent for PDP and their merchant of deaths in Rivers State to turn round to accuse the Minister of Transportation of attempting to assassinate Governor Wike who was the master brain of the plot to kill Amaechi and who was for some strategic and tactical reasons not near the scene of where they plotted to carry out their devious plot. To us, this is madness of the highest order and we will like in this regard recommend for the immediate admission of Bro Felix Obuah and his team into the nearest Psychiatric hospital for proper evaluation of their mental status” Eze said.
The statement noted that, “Rivers State PDP as the entire world are aware is a bloody thirsty group that have turned Rivers State into Rivers of Blood where human lives and sanctity no longer make any meaning both to the Government of Rivers State and promoters of PDP in the State.”
Continuing, the APC observed that, “this statement by PDP to us is a follow up to their numerous failed attempts to malign the person and character of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as we could recall all the past plots to frame up and dent the image of the Minister in order to deny him the Ministerial slot for the State. We are all aware of how Wike and his cohorts did everything unthinkable to link Amaechi with the Osborne Towers Ikoyi N13B discovery. We are all aware of how Wike boasted that he will kill Amaechi if he comes out to monitor the last December rerun election in Rivers State. With this mindset by Wike, Felix Obuah to run down Amaechi by any means, we therefore urge the public to disregard this call and regard it as one other move to dent the impeccable character and personality of an innocent man whose only crime was that he spearheaded the sack by the electorates of the corrupt regime of Dr Goodluck Jonathan.”
“For the PDP to also reject the Police Report indicting the CSO and the Police Outrider Mr Job attached to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike in their malicious attempt to assassinate the Minister of Transportation last Saturday simply exposes the hollowness of those managing the affairs of PDP in Rivers State.”
The APC urged the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris not to be intimidated by the worthies propaganda of PDP and go ahead to implement the police report by Mr. Zaki Ahmed, Rivers State Commissioner of Police on this senseless attempt by Wike and his cohorts to assassinate a Minister of the Republic of Nigeria by arresting and prosecuting the CSO to Gov Wike and all those indicted for all their heinous acts in Rivers State.
It also urged Felix Obuah who has assisted in many ways to turn Rivers State into Rivers of Blood and Den of dustbin to be cautious because wickedness and evil acts have a limit and time of reckoning is fast approaching.
“Let us reiterate that if not for the efforts of men of the federal SARS under the able leadership of Mr. Akin Fakorede Rivers State would been a total disaster by now. We therefore ask the IGP to commend and encourage Mr. Fakorede and his men by any means possible for securing Rivers State from PDP killers and assassins” the statement finally appealed.
