Stephanie Otobo Like the Biblical Judas Iscariot [A Must Read]

Remember the story of Judas Iscariot, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ in the Holy Book of Christians? 

The first day Miss Stephanie Otobo, a Canadian based stripper accused Apostle Johnson Suleiman, a Senior Pastor at Omega Fire Ministry, Auchi, Edo State of defaulting on his contract to marry her, the media were washed with different stories.

 

Many who believed in the man of God began to doubt his calling like doubting Thomas, if really what Miss Otobo alleged were true. For die hard worshippers of OFM, Apostle Suleiman was been punished for his said repulsive response against the Fulani herdsmen killing in some part of the country urging his followers to retaliate should such killers come near them or the church.

This was perceived to be inciting and politicians and other important persons in the country called the man of God to express their dismay over his comment which took a different dimension when Otobo came into limelight like the biblical Samuel who was called by God from the sleep. Who called Stephanie Otobo?

Well, Apostle Suleiman went from pillar to post trying to clear his name, including paying a visit to Papa Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for prayers and counseling. Not that he was guilty but the guilt was hunting him and many thought, it is now wrong to help a stripper in need even in Canada?

The make-believe story of Miss Otobor was further petrifying when she narrated their sexcapade stating clearly how he liked it and how he had requested for a threesome with some stranger.

Through her lawyer, Festus Keyamo, Apostle Suleiman was sued for N500 billion but then who is most irresponsible? Is it the one who after eating a forbidden fruit, silently admitted he has sinned or the person who went ahead to tell the people how the fruit was eaten and the part which was most enjoyed because he refused to bribe her? No moral justification for both but accepting responsibilities is the first stage of maturity. This is not a justification of Apostle Suleiman's alleged adulterous deeds neither is it a moral ground for another to judge.

The last was yet to be heard when the father of Stephanie disowned her describing her as irresponsible and a scoundrel. Again, the mother and sister who could not hold back the bad name their daughter and sister has brought upon their lives went to beg Apostle Suleiman, saying, "Please forgive her, she knows not what she does".

Fair enough, many asked: Who is using Stephanie Otobo against Suleiman? Who is she actually working for and why did she go as far as she went to prove a point that she was not lying?

Hope Christian didn't forget what Judas did after he discovered to have betrayed his master, Jesus. He became born again and returned the loot he collected in place of his master.

Funny enough, Otobo's might landed her in Kirikiri and upon getting out vowed to pursue the case in Canada by filing a suit for $5m against Apostle Johnson Suleman in a Canadian court. Since her stay in Canada two things have struck me: Her been born again and been a gospel artist.

Firstly, “I depend on you”, as emotionally sang Stephanie maybe a charge on Apostle Suleiman to forgive her as she depends on him and his goodies. It is not a sour idea to think such. Just like Judas. He cried.

According to her, Music was her first love. So she didn’t discover that first love to sing before she started stripping from one club to another in Canada? Again, her been born again irritates because if she studied her Bible, the commonest of all senses would have told her that clergies are representatives of God on earth and are suppose to be respected. Yes, they are not perfect but not dragged into the mud. She missed that verse also.

Judas was aware someone will betray Jesus, he was confident in himself not to know he was chosen for that purpose.

Ministering to other is no problem but what is she going to teach? Is it how to fight men of God or been disowned by one’s family? Put it in straight terms how to blackmail people. There is no doubt that Stephanie Otobo lacks talent to be a gospel artist or even a born again. Rather she is looking for where to eat. She is like a vulture looking for whom to devour.

She should have stated clearly that she wanted fame by engaging Apostle Suleiman in an unholy conversation. But thank God she enjoyed the goodwill associated with it but now she has to face reality.
