Opemititi Ajayi through her solicitor, Afolabi Fashanu & Co has slammed a legal suit of N500 million naira on Nollywood Actress, Mercy Aigbe and Celebrity Blogger, Linda Ikeji over the alleged frivolous and malicious statements uttered and published respectively by the duo. Ajayi, through her lawyer considered it as defamation of character

Recall that in an interview with Broadway TV, Mercy Aigbe claimed that her husband slept with Miss Opemititi, a statement which is unsubstantiated and allegedly fabricated.

Linda Ikeji, had exclusively published the news on her blog that Opemititi A.k.a queen stunner was responsible for Mercy Aigbe's failed marriage, thereby dragging her name in the mud without any backing evidence; an act of crime as codified in the cyber crime laws of Nigeria.


Opemititi's lawyers demand a retraction and public apologies from both Mercy Aigbe and Linda Ikeji, in the media, including their social platforms, and as well as a total sum of N500m each from the duo, as damages.
