BREAKING: APC SUSPENDS CHARLES IDAHOSA

PRESS BRIEFING FROM ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) STAKEHOLDERS IN UHUNMWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, EDO STATE.

BREAKING: APC SUSPENDS CHARLES IDAHOSA
Gentlemen of the Press:

We welcome you to this press briefing.
We are profoundly impressed that even with the shortest notice you are here in this large number. May God bless you abundantly.

Truly,we believed that a sleeping dog should be allowed to lie provided, however, that it is not lying on our bed.

Recent developments in the party APC Edo State calls for concern hence it is has become important for us to caution the party leadership in Edo State that the reign of impunity that is gradually creeping into the affairs of the party in leaves much to be desired.
Not too long ago we hear that the party's Senatorial Candidate Chief Francis Inegbineki and other notable leaders in Edo Central were suspended from the party [see here] for reasons yet to be disclosed and now in the same streak the party's Senatorial Candidate in Edo South The Rt. Hon. Samson Osagie in the last election is also now been purportedly suspended along with many prominent leaders in  Uhunmwode LGA in a manner that offends all known democratic principles. This speaks volumes about the party's respect for its notable members

Only on Friday 31st March, 2017,Our attention has been drawn to a press statement issued by one Charles Idahosa and his co-travellers in active connivance  with Chief  Osaro Idah, the State Party Secretary, purporting that some dignified and prominent sons and daughters of Uhunmwode have been suspended from the All Progressives Congress (APC). It is necessary to mention here that the purported suspension was hinged on unverified and bogus claims of anti-party activities.
In the process of their illegal suspension, they threw caution to the winds, ignoring due process, particularly the provisions of article 21 of the APC Constitution, which clearly spells out the modalities for disciplining erring members
In all seriousness , we do not intend to allow ourselves to be used as a football by political nitwits in their struggle for naked power. This underscores the need at this point to show you the type of political liabilities who are purporting to suspend serious-minded people in a serious political party.

We challenge Charles Idahosa to show evidence that he has ever won in his polling unit. The antics of this political mercenary are that he keeps extorting the party and its members without any regard for the party’s fortunes. He remains an electoral liability that must be ignored.

We are, however, not bordered by his intellectual deficiency as he is said to possess mere certificate of attendance, which has no educational value.

As for the Factional  LGA party Chairman Harrison Oyegue, he is a serial loser as results seldom come out of his polling unit. In the particular case of the last election, he neither voted nor contributed in any way to the outcome of the election. Moreover ,Harrison Oyegue is a money eating parasite who looks for any opportunity to exploit people.

Dubiously, Charles Idahosa has elevated his house help, Ferdinand Emokpae, to the position of party secretary unceremoniously, whereas the authentic Party Secretary and his assistant who were elected at last party congress are Barr. F. Alari and Mr. Godspower Ehiwarior respectively.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. Certainly, Chief Idah did not approach this exercise with clean hands. Putting on the toga of the entire state working committee of the party to smuggle himself into this issue is very fraudulent, to say the least. We, however, leave him with the appropriate organ of the party to call him to order.

It is now clear to us that there are people who benefit from confusion. Such sadists are only happy in the absence of peace. In our search for peace after the last gubernatorial election, we led a delegation to the State Party Chairman, Barr. Anselm Ojezua, to complain of how those of us who originally stood on the other side of the divide before the primaries were being hopelessly marginalized.

At the instance of the chairman, we forwarded a petition cataloguing how we were being treated with disdain. As we speak, Barr. Ojezua is still sitting on the petition.

With us there is no killing the beetle. Our hands are already on the plough and there is no looking back. So the struggle continues.

We have continued to work hard and by the special grace of God, the winning results from Uhunmwode at the last election came virtually from those now purported to have been suspended.
Contrary to our expectation, suspension has become our reward for hard work. Their diabolical design is to portray us in the worst possible light. Put differently, they are trying to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it. They think that we should be left in a mess while appointments last. But this is against the principles of natural justice. And God sees our hearts.

It is on record that out of the 26 LGA exco members, two (2) have left their offices due to defection and resignation, and of the available 24 excos, we have with us 15 LGA executives who have signed this document and we are still wondering where Charles Idahosa and his misguided elements convened an LGA exco meeting without our notice  to do the purported suspension.

Incidentally, suspension has become a major scare-crow in Nigerian politics but we insist that it must be appropriately directed. In the particular case of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, we have identified a number of people who don’t wish the APC well. They are clogs in the wheel of progress. They are enemies of progress and they have compromised the interest and growth of the party on several occasions, they are Charles Idahosa and Harrison Oyegue.

While Charles Idahosa has constructively dethroned himself as the party leader in the local government by the way he chased members of the party out of his house before the guber primaries and other miscellaneous delinquent behaviours; Mr. Oyegue has long outlived his usefulness as a party local government chairman. For instance, it is on record that for the last 18 months, he has not called any meeting of the executives.

Suffice to say that as Leader Charles Idahosa got humongous amount of money for election in Uhunmwode LGA yet he could not win his unit at Eguada Primary School at Ehor. Likewise a good number of his few newly recruited supporters. Indeed, he brought shame to the party and as such the party deserves explanation as to his dismal performance at the last election. It is either he sold out to PDP or was hopelessly unpopular in his hometown .

Consequently,At this enlarged meeting of APC Stakeholders made up of 15 LGA executive members and leaders of the party in Uhunmwode local government Area of Edo State , it is therefore unanimously resolved that Mr. Charles Idahosa and Mr. Harrison Oyegue be and are hereby suspended as leader/member and Chairman of the party respectively.
In consonance with due process and fair hearing, they are to appear before a disciplinary committee headed by Barr. Samuel Iroh as Chairman; Hon. Lawson Osarenren, Hon. Samuel Okpamen and Ms. Uyi Omoregie as members; while Egharevba bright will serve as Secretary.
We wish to affirm that our loyalty to the APC and the Administration of His Excellency, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki is total , unflinching and unalloyed.

We hereby urge our teaming supporters to remain focused and law abiding. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Distinguished Gentlemen of the Press, we thank you for your patience. We wish God’s guidance in all your endeavours.

Thank you and God bless.
