President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded names of three new board members for the NDDC for the replacement of those rejected by the Senate.
The senate earlier rejected 3 nominees out of 19 of the Niger Delta Development Commission Board, NDDC.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki stated this in a letter transmitted by the President to the Red chamber on Thursday.
The new nominees are Lucky Omirisan , Hon. Chuka and Nwogu N.Nwogu from Ondo, Imo and Abia States respectively.
The Nigerian senate had in October 2016 rejected 3 nominees out of 19 of the Niger Delta Development Commission Board, NDDC.
They were; Donatus Enyinnaya, Abia State, Osita Bonaventure Izunaso, Imo Sate Olatokunbo Ayotunde Ajasin, Ondo State
Ajasin and Enyinnaya were rejected because they are not from oil-producing areas of their respective states. Osita declined the appointment.
