A Federal High Court sitting in Benin City has fixed Friday, 1st July 2016 to hear a motion in suit number FHC/B/CS/109/2016 seeking to restrain Alhaji Modu Sheriff, Hon Johnson AGBONAYINMA, Hon Matthew Iduoriyekemwen and the Independent National Electoral Commission from conducting or participating in another primary election in Edo State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2016 September 10th Election.
According to PDP publicity secretary Hon. Chris Osa Nehikhare, all parties to the dispute are obliged to refrain from taking any action, including conducting or participating in the proposed fixed for Wednesday 29 June 2016, which is prejudicial to the pending suit.
You will recall that the Ahmed Makarfi led faction of the party, had on Saturday June 20th, conducted a state primary where pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu emerged the party flag bearer.
But his runner up, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen who rejected the results of the primaries, was said to have immediately pitched tent with the rival faction of Ali Modu Sheriff, prompting the need for a new primary to be conducted.
It is reported that no fewer than 520 delegates are set to participate in the fresh primaries to be conducted by the committee set up Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff.
The primaries will hold at the Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
Two aspirants, Hon Ehiozuwa Agbonnayima and Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, are to contest at the primaries.

This is absurd. Since PDP has refused to sort out their issues, let the court step in fast. Nonsense!!!
