See How PDP Is Oppressing Nigerians —Oshiomhole

 

Sorry for bringing you this particular report late... it actually was among the first report for the day, but one thing or another suppressed it until now. Any way, some of you would have heard by now the some influential members of PDP in Edo state yesterday decamped to APC. 

According to reports, the Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday while receiving the decampees said that Nigerians had yet to enjoy meaningful socio-economic development because of the oppression of the Peoples Democratic Party.

He said that the citizens as well as critical sectors of the economy had continued to suffer under the 16-year leadership of the PDP because the party “is dedicated to preserve the privileges of the few.” He also described the PDP as “an impotent man” who could no longer bring development to the country after 16 years.

Among the defectors was a three-time House of Representatives member, Mr. Ehiogie West-Idahosa; the National President of Goodluck for Transformation and State Women Coordinator, Mrs. Evelyn Igbafe; and a founding member of the PDP, Roland Ehigiamusoe.

Oshiomhole accused the Federal Government of denying Nigerians the benefit of the country’s rich oil deposits, in addition to subjecting the citizens to hardship through epileptic power supply.

He said, “Today is not just the fact of the huge number in this hall but it is also about the quality of the brains that have now join us; and in a world that is knowledge-driven, it is only the party that can parade the best brains that can drive the sustainable change that Nigeria is currently battling with in order to bail our people from its present political quagmire.

What is annoying in all these decamping stories, is the fact that the same crop of people keep parading themselves as though the country is void human assets to serve in public offices. Imagine a three time member of the House Reps still complaining about oppression.. What can i say!
