At today’s opening ceremony of Technology and Innovation EXPO’ 2019 in Enugu for economic recovery and sustainable growth, President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha, appreciated Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for “the giant strides that are being achieved, particularly in the Coal City and Enugu State in its entirety”.
Also, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, thanked the government and good people of Enugu State for hosting the 3rd edition of the programme.
The Minister disclosed that “this event is not only unique, but also historic because this is the first time it is being held outside Abuja”. According to him, “Enugu State is therefore, the first state to host it while the governor of Enugu State is the first governor to do so”.
Dr. Onu added that Gov. Ugwuanyi “has been very supportive throughout the preparation for this long week event”.
Gov. Ugwuanyi, who lauded the federal government for the choice of Enugu for the national event and the inherent benefits to the people of the state, reassured of his administration’s commitment and cooperation towards the advancement of science, technology and innovation in the country for the overall interest of the people.
