Instead of going to steal or beg, some young Nigerians abroad have volunteered to sweep the streets in Italy so as to make a living, jobs many of them would have rejected back here at home.

According to BBC, 97,000 migrants have reached Italy already this year. It’s hard to find a job if you’re in the process of claiming asylum but a group of Nigerians living in a migrant camp in Rome, have started a voluntary street sweeping collective.
The idea was originated by Wisdom and Osas, who came up with the idea because they had no money but did not want to beg on the streets. They revealed that they are more than 300 Nigerians sweeping the streets and earn €10 to €20 daily. Hope some of us reading this, learn the grass is truly not greener at the other end. listen to Osas below
