Mrs Oby Okafor has been nominated by the Advanced Congress of Democrats (ACD) for the November 18 governorship election in Anambra.
Okafor emerged from a unanimous decision of 63 delegates of the party at its primary election in Awka.
She is the first woman to get a party’s nomination for the election.
Chairman of Governorship Primary Election Committee of ACD, Mr George Okparah, who announced the emergence of Okafor, said she met the party’s conditions and conformed to the guidelines.
