Meet Obama's Complete Look-Alike, who gets mobbed for selfies everywhere he goes

Tour guide and 43-year-old father of 5, Jose Oliveira, who bears an uncanny resemblance to ex-President Barack Obama, has revealed that he cannot go a day without people mobbing him for selfies.
 
Jose, from Sal in Cape Verde, says people even ask him if he is Obama's brother. 'I find it very funny and I don't mind posing for photographs,' Oliveira said.



'I work as a tour guide so I am always meeting new people and their reaction is always the same.
'As soon as they see me they say: "Oh my God, you look just like Obama!"

Fathia Balogun leads 12-man burial committee for late Moji Olaiya

Revealed: Boko Haram Members Collected 2m Euros For Releasing Chibok Girls

While  details of the recent release of 82 chibok girls have remained sketchy, recent info have howver showed that the release of the 82 girls came with a price. Five senior Boko Haram militants were moved from a high security unit to be driven to freedom.

According to PMNews, sources who don’t want to be named and their version of events is hard to confirm, but they say the men were high-level Boko Haram bomb-makers, and that they were accompanied by two million euros in cash.
Paying a ransom as well as swapping prisoners was a sticking point that almost unravelled the whole deal, one source tells us. President Buhari has not revealed if a ransom was paid.

Lucky Way gets lucky as Edo commences reconstruction

Residents at Lucky Way in Benin City, the Edo State capital, can now heave a sigh of relief due to the ongoing rehabilitation work to reconstruct their roads by state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki.

The link road, connecting Ramat Park to Upper Mission, had been in horrendous shape for years and had caused severe heartache, with several motorists and residents noting that the road could not get any worse.


Describing the ongoing rehabilitation as long-awaited, Madam Peace Paulinus, whose tailoring shop was along Lucky way, said the road was in such a condition that rains rendered it virtually unmotorable.

21-year-old son of NNPC GMD, Maikanti Baru collapses, dies while hiking in Dubai, has been buried

The son of the Group Mnaging Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Dr. Maikanti Baru has passed away. The 21-year-old Mohammed Kawu Baru, an Architecture student at American University, Sharjah, died in Dubai on Thursday evening, May 18, while hiking. 
According to reports, the young man collapsed and died while on University organized hiking exercise in Fujairah. He was buried at the Sharjah Emirates Cemetery.  Maikanti Baru, accompanied by Ambassador Nura Rimi and hundreds of members of the Nigerian community in UAE, attended the burial.

Acting president Yemi Osinbajo orders resumption of 24 hour operations at Apapa port

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has directed the resumption of 24-hour operations at the Apapa port and outrightly banned touting by officials or unofficial persons at any port; be it air, land and sea ports in Nigeria. 
Prof. Osinbajo had on Thursday signed three Executive Orders dealing with the business environment, local content in public procurement and timely budget submission. The Orders take effect immediately.

In a new video going viral online, the Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi was quoted saying Nigerians love to share and spread bad news. He said,

'There is a video flying around concerning Abuja Airport, it is not Abuja Airport. I don’t know where they got it from. Nigerians will forward bad news, they wont forward good news. Even if you issue a statement to say that the alleged Abuja Airport is not the real Abuja Airport, they will say, that is government talking, no one will forward it around to make it viral the way the bad news was made viral'.

A statement from the Office of the Chief Press Secretary to Edo State Governor described the allegations of wasteful spending as nonsense, noting that the governor’s experience as an economist, as well as his commitment to plugging up waste channels in the state’s Internally Generated Revenue should have proved his frugality.

Court Orders Final Forfeiture of N449m Discovered in Bureau de change

A Federal High Court in Lagos today ordered the forfeiture of N449, 770, 000 recently uncovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC operatives in a Bureau de change shop at Legico Shopping Plaza, Victoria Island, Lagos.
                                 
Justice R. Aikwa of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi in Lagos, gave the order in a ruling on a motion ex-parte filed by an EFCC prosecutor, Rotimi Oyedepo, pursuant to Section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act No. 14, 2006.

The money was discovered after a tip off by a whistle blower.

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has applauded the assiduity and resilience of 27-year old Nigerian, Anne-Marie Osawemwemze Imafidon, who, on Friday, received a national honour from Queen Elizabeth II.
 
Imafidon, who hails from Edo State, received the national honour of Member of the Most Excellent British Empire (MBE) from the Queen on account of her outstanding services to the community, especially to young women with specialty in Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Mercy Aigbe's Alleged Husband;s Lover, Slams Linda Ikeji, Mercy With N500m Lawsuit [photos]

Opemititi Ajayi through her solicitor, Afolabi Fashanu & Co has slammed a legal suit of N500 million naira on Nollywood Actress, Mercy Aigbe and Celebrity Blogger, Linda Ikeji over the alleged frivolous and malicious statements uttered and published respectively by the duo. Ajayi, through her lawyer considered it as defamation of character

Recall that in an interview with Broadway TV, Mercy Aigbe claimed that her husband slept with Miss Opemititi, a statement which is unsubstantiated and allegedly fabricated.


Linda Ikeji, had exclusively published the news on her blog that Opemititi A.k.a queen stunner was responsible for Mercy Aigbe's failed marriage, thereby dragging her name in the mud without any backing evidence; an act of crime as codified in the cyber crime laws of Nigeria.
