"I Warned Jonathan over Diezani, Others" -Obasanjo Explodes



Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has said he warned President Goodluck Jonathan against assigning the Ministry of Petroleum Resources to Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former minister.

He said Jonathan ignored him and the nation could feel the consequences of that action.

He also said he told Jonathan not to seek a second term ticket in office in line with the agreement he had reached with prominent Northern leaders.

Policeman who vowed to Kill 200 If Buhari Dies, Now On The Run after Police Ordered his Investigation




The Nigeria Police Force says it has launched a manhunt for Inusa Saidu Biu, a riot policeman, who threatened to kill 200 persons if President Muhammadu Buhari dies.

The police stated that it had commenced investigation into the content of his post on social media, with a view to identifying the policeman and taking necessary actions.

Biu took to his Facebook timeline on Tuesday, claiming that some persons he tagged as enemies of the President were orchestrating Buhari's death. [see here]

Federal High Court freezes all Bank Accounts of NDDC boss

A Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, has ordered the freezing of all accounts and forfeiture of a property belonging to Nsima Ekere, managing director of Niger Delta Development Corporation (NDDC).
Ekere who was a former deputy governor of Akwa Ibom State, had defaulted on a credit facility in the amount of N27 million that the defunct Oceanic Bank, now Ecobank Plc, had granted him.

EFCC to storm Nigerian universities – Magu



Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), says the commission will soon storm universities across the country to launch its anti-corruption programme .

According to DAILYPOST, Magu disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday on the sideline of the opening ceremony of a capacity building workshop on the use of beneficial ownership information and the recovery of assets in Africa.

 An interesting photo has emerged showing what locals believe to be the figure of Jesus standing over a Colombian city recently ravaged by a landslide just a week ago. The crowd gathered in the north central Colombian region of Caldas to film the figure.

Just last week 17 people had been killed when a month's rainfall fell overnight, resulting in landslides. Yet, as the sun slanted through clouds in Manizales, residents recorded the rare phenomenon on a mountain called Sancancio and those who lost their homes and loved ones in the natural disaster took comfort in choosing to believe that the figure was that of Jesus Christ.
