PDP is dead- Former Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime says as he decamps to APC

Former Enugu state governor, Sullivan Chime, has decamped from PDP to APC. Speaking to newsmen in Enugu after announcing his defection, Chime said his decision to defect is based on the fact that PDP is a dead party.

"The PDP, we used to be members of is dead. The party I joined in 1999 and had the opportunity of leading in the state for eight years is no longer in existence.

EFCC secures Interim forfeitures order on abandoned N49m cash no one has come forward to claim


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, has secured an interim forfeiture order granted by Justice S.M Shuaibu of the Federal High Court Kaduna ordering that the sum of N49m be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria pending the hearing and determination of Motion on Notice filed by the EFCC.
Recall that the large sum of money was intercepted by officials of the antigraft agency at the Kaduna International Airport on March 14th. The money was packed in five large black 150kg colored BUHU sacks.

Nigeria-born Woyin Karowei Dorgu has been ordained the 13th Church of England Bishop in the diocese of Woolwich in South-East London. Dorgu becomes the first black person to be ordained Church of England bishop in 20 years. 

Prior to his consecration, Bishop Karowei was Vicar of St John, Upper Holloway. Born and brought up in Nigeria, he worked as a medical doctor before ordination. He was born in June 1958, Burutu, Nigeria attended the University of Lagos and London School of Theology, Oak Hill College
