PREMIUM TIMES Replies the Nigerian Army, Threatens Legal Action and demands apology from Buratai

PREMIUM TIMES has replied a letter sent by the Nigerian Army, threatening legal action against the newspaper for alleged false publications about the army and its chief, Tukur Buratai, a Lieutenant General

 The Nigerian Army in an earlier letter,  had accused the Newspaper of publishing “false, unsubstantiated, and unprofessional” stories that provided no evidence to back its claim, and demanded it retracted the reports and apologised to the army and Mr. Buratai.

A former governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his Gombe State counterpart, Senator Danjuma Goje were among the 39 senators that signed the sack of Senator Ali Ndume as the leader of the Senate, according to official document.

Female Cult Leader Arrested With 10 of Her Gang Members [photo]

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a lady said to be the leader of a cult gang who is allegedly the brain behind a clash between rival groups which claimed some lives on Tuesday.

No fewer than three persons were confirmed dead, while several others sustained various degrees of injuries in two separate clashes between rival cult groups in Mowe area.


 


Following the clash, the state police command arrested 10 suspects including the lady said to be one of the cult leaders.

President Muhammadu Buhari today resubmitted names of non-career ambassadorial nominees to the Senate  two months after the legislature rejected his first list.

Nigeria Considering asylum for Gambia's Jammeh


Lawmakers in the country are considering the option of giving Gambian President Yahya Jammeh  asylum in Nigeria.

According to AFP, Emmanuel Yisa Orker-Jev, head of the rules and business committee in the House of Representatives, said the motion would be discussed later on Thursday.
