With regret, we announce the death of Hon. Shakiru Balogun a.k.a SAB, energetic, vibrant, indefatigable, eloquent, generous, philosophical, a liberator, qualitative leader and lover of modern democracy.

21st July 2017 is the worst day for us, he lost his life in a road accident along Lasu/Isheri Road, Close to Lanre Bus-Stop. Gone too soon Hon. Shakiru Alabi, Omo Balogun. It is too early. What a wicked world. Death has killed the lion, warrior and an exemplary leader.

Our mentor and role model. Our heart aches, we followed your calling to the politics. You are our leader. We still can't believe you are gone.

You fought righteously for the liberation of your people.

You fought to the end.

Your watch word, "what will people say about me when am no more".

You usually say " one does not tell the enemy where he keeps his armoury" but why did you let them get it now.

This is an irreparable loss to the people of Akesan, Igando, Igando/Ikotun LCDA, Lagos, Nigeria and our generation.

Oh God you should have ask death to stealth his sword, by taking away the people's Honourable, you have taken away a hope.

We will forever cherish your good legacy and continue to thread the good path you led us.

You are our Political leader, our hero, you were hope for the hopeless and voice for the voiceless.

We will miss you forever and may Allah give your family and we your lovers the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Life is so cruel, giving to some and denying us!

Rest in Peace SAB!
