Police Arrests 87 Suspected Badoo Cult Members, Declares 20 More Wanted



 Lagos State Police Command has arrested 87 suspected members of Badoo cult group while declaring 20 others wanted.

The 87 suspected Badoo members were nabbed in their hideouts in Owutu and Odongunyan in Ikorodu area of the state in the late hours of Thursday, July 6.

As part of its investigation, the police declared the names of the wanted cult members as Moshood (a.k.a Mosho); Alfa (a.k.a King of Boys); Papa; Fela; Alakoto and Chukwudi.

The Command also called on Nigerians to support them with useful information on how the suspects can be arrested.

 
It was learnt that the police, department of state security service and Odua Peoples’ Congress (OPC) met with herbalists met together in the area.

Fatai Owoseni, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, who was represented by his Deputy, Imohimi Edgal, in a meeting warned the herbalists and local vigilantes to avoided jungle justice.

The Police commissioners was said to have later met with Obas and traditional rulers in Ikorodu.

Also involved in the exercise were the Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), ACP Olatunji Disu; Acting Area Commander, Ikorodu and all DPOs in Ikorodu among other senior police officers.
