Tonto Dikeh in Trouble for Abandoning Her Son's Nanny in the Hospital [A must Read]

Actress, Tonto Dikeh has again come under fire for maltreating her helper. The actress son’s nanny, was allegedly abandoned by her in an Abuja hospital.

It was gathered that on Saturday, Queen Ashley Foundation stumbled upon an elderly woman who was said to have been abandoned at Maitama General hospital by her madam, after she developed excruciating pains on her legs from her home. The woman was later discovered to be King Andrea’s Nanny, living with Tonto Dikeh after she left the home with her and their son around January, when she had marital hiccups with her now estranged husband, Mr.Olakunle Churchill.

Investigations however revealed that the Nanny who is a mother of 4, developed acute pain for sometime while at home but was ignored by Tonto Dikeh in their new place. Two days ago she was helped to the hospital for treatment with her madam’s knowledge, as she could not walk alone.

After two days in the hospital, no assistant from anyone to pay hospital bills to commence treatment as she was not able to reach Mr Churchill, whom she had not seen since January she parked out with her Madam and the Son King Andrea to their new place of settlement. Queen Ashley Foundation was on a tour to hospitals donating to patients in preparation for her Children’s Day Party where she is set to feed 1,000 Children, when she stumbled on the helpless Woman at the emergency ward.

The woman who was disclosed to be Mgbechi Enyinnaya was supported with N100,000 by Queen Ashley Foundation for the hospital to start up treatment, lamented bitterly of the nonchalant attitude of her madam (Tonto Dikeh) whom she always takes care of the little boy while staying together. The poor woman revealed how she borrowed N10,000 from the house-help to come to the hospital, after several efforts to make her Madam assist her with money to take care of her deteriorating health.

 

Moving forward, the Due Process Advocate, DPA, a human right group known for fighting the cause of the less privileged in the Nigerian society, has stepped into the matter promising to bring Tonto Dikeh to justice. Read the post below

We have received disturbing news, backed you with video clip, about how a popular Nollywood actress maltreated and dehumanized her poor employee. DPA is investigating this matter and if it is true, we shall hold Ms. Dikeh accountable.

                            

The rather shocking aspect of this case, which makes it of interest to DPA is the clear power differential in the story. Apparently, Ms. Dikeh's success in the movie industry and the flow of cash that comes with it have gotten into her head and and she thinks she can play God. It is okay to play the role of God, but that must be in a movie, and not in the real work in which you can see this poor woman totally intimidated and threatened.

DPA's primary role is to avoid the abuse of power. The conduct depicted in the movie clip is clearly an extraordinary abuse and power is power and all power is accountable. These famous celebrities are accountable to our laws. By this video, Ms. Dikeh has dehumanized another human being for no other reason other than that she is poor and DPA will not accept that.
