Juventus already have one foot in the final of the UEFA Champions league after beating Monaco 2 -0 in France.
Monaco started brightly, with Kylian Mbappe heading at Gianluigi Buffon before forcing another low save.
However the Italian side responded and began to see more of the ball. In a blistering counter, Higuain ruthlessly finished two fine Dani Alves assists, sweeping the Brazilian's back heel in on 29 minutes.
Radamel Falcao went close for Monaco after the break before Alves' measured cross saw Higuain put Juve in control with another goal.
The second leg will be played in Italy and it is Juventus' to lose.
As things stand Juventus and Real Madrid are favorites to play the final.
