Confusion In Aso Rock: Osinbajo May Not Be Allowed To Sign 2017 Budget

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed today cast fresh doubt on Yemi Osinbajo's role as Acting President.

According to VANGUARD, fielding questions from State House correspondents at the Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday, the Minister said, the Presidency has not decided who will sign the 2017 Appropriation Bill into law.


“When it is transmitted to the Presidency, that decision will be taken‎”, he said.

The Appropriation bill commonly referred to as budget is usually signed into law by the President. Due to President Muhammadu Buhari's absence, it was expected that Osinbajo may have to sign this year's version.
