What Recession? Governor Bello Appoints 54 Senior Special Assistants And 9 Special Assistants

 The governor of Kogi has approved the appointment of 54 Senior Special Assistants and nine Special Assistants to advise him.

A statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, said the appointments are effective from 1st of April, 2017.





 Among those appointed, is Nollywood actress Mercy Joghnson who got appointed SSA [see here]

Meanwhile, Kogi is an impoverished state in Nigeria with huge infrastructural deficit, and unemployment numbers.

The appointments at the time Nigeria is passing through one of most severe recessions may raise a few eyebrows.
