How Muslim Chief Imam Was Killed in Edo state [graphic photo]

Inhabitants of Egbenta community in ovia north east local government area of Edo state were thrown into morning following the death of the chief imam of the community's central mosque mallam saka Afolabi by gunmen. [see more photos here]

                              
The situation crippled all forms of activities in the community as residents trouped out in  a large number to bemoan the lifeless body of the elderly man 

The children of the deceased said they were going to the mosque  for early  prayers when some gun men intercepted them ,single out their dad and shot him dead .

  They alleged that their dad has been having a lingering crises over his coco plantation at ehengbuda camp via Egbenta with one ajitena mauruf adebayo who allegedly drove him out adding that adebayo was part of the gunmen that killed their father 

  In a swift reaction the accused person Mr ajitena mauruf adebayo who via telephone interview with news men denied the allegations maintaining that he has been in Lagos State for some days stressing that he received the news of his death with rude shock pointing out that the matter the case between him are the deceased is in court which he said is going in his favour and wondered why he would want kill the deceased.

When contacted Edo state police commissioner Mr haliru gwandu said the police has commenced full scale investigation into the matter as police will leave no stone unturned to ensure justice
