Enough of the Paparazzi! Insecurity is on the rise in Edo State by Ogbeide Ifaluyi-isibor

 For a while now,it's been from one case of broad daylight assassination to another and it has since become troubling.

 

We saw the gory pictures of an alleged Etisalat staff whose life and that of others was exterminated along siluko road by suspected assassins who didn't bother to hide their faces,the other day Fulani

terrorists kidnapped some secondary schools teachers in a school near Evboneka,just recently,the news had it that Speaker of the State house of Assembly escaped assassination and a plethora of cases of killings have surfaced every now and then.

While we get the regular cliche from the police,this act remained resplendent in Edo State just now. I will suggest that Mr Godwin Obaseki takes a pause with the snapping of pictures with white skinned men and the show off of Italian made suits and shoes and give the needed attention to the provision of security for Edo people.

You can't attract investors when security is not taken seriously.While government appropriates security votes,the original purpose for those votes cannot and shouldn't be relegated to the background. it's over 100days since the present government assumed office and sadly there's no blueprint for the creation of employment for the docile many in the state today.

The free movement of Edo people has become encumbered with this higgledy-piggledy security challenge that threatens their peaceful existence and this should bother the government. I will urge our Police force to double up effort in arresting this evil as that is their primary assignment and not the inspection of vehicle documents. 

 Edo people on their own must be vigilant and alive to their own security too.hoodlums cannot hold a state ransom and we stand aloof.These brigands are the relations of some people and we must speak out and act when we should.
