Broken Marriage: Tonto Dikeh Finally apologizes to Mercy Johnson over Ill Statements made in the Past

      

Its January 2017 and as usual Nigerian celebrities have begun their drama again. 

 

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, who got married to a relative of former president Obasanjo in August 2015, yesterday made the headlines for broken marriages in the industry after she changed her name and removed the very conspicuous title of "Wife" from her IG page. 

 

The actress who about a week ago,   shared a cryptic post on Instagram which partly reads, 'If that guy doesn't call you for two weeks, he doesn't like you as much as you like him. If that important meeting keeps on getting rescheduled, it means it is not that important to the other party. Remember your happiness starts with you. Not with your relationship. Not with your friends. Not with your job. But with you. Things outside of you won't fix problems on the inside. Love yourself properly and people will love you'. removed her husband’s name, Churchill from her IG handle, fueling speculations that their marriage is in crisis. She however replaced the husband's name Churchill, with the letter C which is also known to be her middle middle name, "Charity". Tonto also removed the very conspicuous Yummy wife/mum which used to be on her profile further giving weight to the speculation there she is having issues in her marriage.

 

 

In what appears a bizarre twist however, the light complexion PH born actress, again this morning took to her IG page to formerly apologize to her colleague actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie over ill comments she made to her when Mercy newly got married and had her first child some years back. 

Tonto Dikeh says she is determined to right all her wrongs in 2017, which include making peace with all those she offended in the past. 

The actress wrote; 

 Good morning world Since I have your undivided attention I better make good use of it and not miss the blessing in this lesson!!!

@mercyjohnson Ever since I had my baby I have been reminded constantly about an ill statement I made about one of your kids a very long time ago.I want to use this media to say I am so sorry,I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart.I had no right to say what I did,I totally disgraced myself with that.

As a mom I do realize a lot of things I take in because of the love of my son and I know you only took my insult because of that same love..

I am sorry MJ,I am sorry to your lil' girl or boy..

We don't have to love each other to realize when we are/went wrong••

I have/had no excuse for my behaviour and I also apologize to the fans I hurt/Let down with my words that day many years ago ..To air is human but to forgive is divine!!!

Am not trying to be the better person,You deserve this apology for your Child for the Love I have for God..I found God and everything in my life changed,Let me tell you about him sometime..

We really do not know if this apology has anything to do with the rumoured marriage break-up. Lets just hope things are fine and Mrs Churchill is actually trying to make right all her wrong, but what has a change of name got to do with it?
