According to a publication by ENDS, a humanitarian body, 3 Nigerians in the past have claimed to know the sponsors of the Boko Haram terror group.According to ENDS, they are:
Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state
Ex National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki
Ex President Goodluck Jonathan
"Governor of Borno state and head of the northern governor’s forum, Kashim Shettima knows the sponsors of Boko Haram. Kashim Shettima has said on several occasions that he is keeping mute to protect them," the body said in a publication.
"We will like to urge the Nigerian army to make Kashim Shettima and others who know the sponsors, talk. Dasuki has hinted that he knows the sponsors as has former President Goodluck Jonathan."
ENDS called on security agencies to act on the information released by these people and swoop in on the sponsors of insurgency in the nation.
Unless these sponsors are arrested and brought to book, Boko Haram will continue to thrive, it added.
