It is indeed a bad start of the month for the residents of Water settlement in Ebute-Metta, 3rd Mainland bridge axis as a wild fire engulfed the area. Though no life has been reported lost and there are no fire fighters at the scene of the event as at the time of this report. As if that was not enough, another inferno occurred in Lekki Phase 1 almost the same time as the ongoing inferno in Ebute-Metta is yet to be quenched. The fire razed a popular supermarket in Lekki, popularly known as Ebeano shopping complex on Admiralty way. Though fire servicemen are right there to put out the fire, no report of any loss of life yet. See more pics after the cut...
